The Partnership conducts programs and initiatives and participates in public policy impacting sustainability, collective business operations, learning and promotion of Balboa Park. This collaboration helps members save money through economies of scale, adopt sustainable business practices and advocate effectively for issues that affect the Park and the cultural community in San Diego.

2015 Centennial Celebration

Balboa Park will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2015. This event will be a major civic milestone and attract millions of new visitors to the Park. Advocacy

The City of San Diego is considering a potential new model of governance for Balboa Park, possibly a conservancy model like Central Park in New York City. The Partnership is working with the Mayor’s task force and our 26 member institutions to ensure the needs of Park users are considered along with the needs of Park institutions. Read More

The Balboa Park Cultural Partnership serves as the collaborative body and collective voice for 26 arts, science, and cultural institutions in Balboa Park. Together we achieve greater effectiveness, innovation, and excellence and contribute to the vitality and sustainability of Balboa Park. Our collective 500 trustees, 7,000 volunteers, and 3,500 staff serve more than 6.2 million visitors annually.
