Who We Are

The Balboa Park Cultural Partnership is the alliance of 24 Balboa Park institutions dedicated to developing and sustaining the Park for the benefit of all now and into the future. The Partnership was formed in 2003 to provide a means for member institutions to identify and achieve collective goals and speak with one voice on issues of mutual benefit and importance. 

The Partnership conducts programs and initiatives and participates in public policy impacting sustainability, collective business operations, learning and promotion of Balboa Park. This collaboration helps members save money through economies of scale, adopt sustainable business practices and advocate effectively for issues that affect the Park and the cultural community in San Diego.

The Balboa Park Cultural Partnership has helped enrich the cultural life of the San Diego region through its efforts to preserve, enhance and make accessible the unique cultural assets of Balboa Park.

The Balboa Park Cultural Partnership serves as the collaborative body and collective voice for 26 arts, science, and cultural institutions in Balboa Park. Together we achieve greater effectiveness, innovation, and excellence and contribute to the vitality and sustainability of Balboa Park. Our collective 500 trustees, 7,000 volunteers, and 3,500 staff serve more than 6.2 million visitors annually.
